Traditional Thai Massage is often performed on a mat and is sometimes compared to assisted yoga. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, such as yoga or exercise wear.
Most people feel very relaxed and often notice relief from aches, pains, and stress after a massage session. Some people may experience mild muscle soreness for a day or two, especially if the body was carrying a great deal of tension beforehand. Once this passes, many clients notice improved movement and a greater sense of ease.
It is completely normal for first-time clients to feel a little apprehensive about the personal nature of massage. Most clients begin to feel more comfortable within the first few minutes of treatment. A Thai Therapist will always respect your feelings and do their best to help you feel safe, comfortable, and at ease.
Only certain regulated modalities are eligible for coverage in Ontario. Thai Massage is part of a respected healing tradition in Thailand, but it is generally not recognized for insurance coverage in Ontario.
With this in mind, our services are generally not covered by extended healthcare plans.
