Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful information for new and returning clients

If you are new to Thai Massage, it is natural to have questions. Here are answers to some of the questions we are most often asked.

How will Traditional Thai Massage benefit me?

Traditional Thai Massage may help relieve muscular tension and pain, improve flexibility and range of motion, and reduce mental stress. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

How often will I need treatments?

Your body will often guide you. Some people book a few sessions for a specific concern, while others choose regular treatments as part of their wellness routine. Thai Massage can help support flexibility, healthy muscle tone, and recovery from muscular strain.

How old does a person need to be to receive Thai Massage?

Thai Massage can be adapted for many ages and stages of life. If you have questions about a specific situation, please contact us.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, such as yoga or exercise wear. Traditional Thai Massage is often performed on a mat and is sometimes compared to assisted yoga.

Will I feel sore after a massage treatment?

Most people feel relaxed and notice relief from aches, pains, and stress after treatment. Some may experience mild muscle soreness for a day or two, especially if the body was already holding a lot of tension. Many clients then notice improved movement and a greater sense of ease.

What if I feel uncomfortable about massage?

It is completely normal to feel a little apprehensive at first. Most clients begin to feel more comfortable within the first few minutes of treatment. Your Thai Therapist will always respect your feelings and help you feel safe, comfortable, and at ease.

Is Thai Massage covered by insurance?

Thai Massage is generally not recognized for insurance coverage in Ontario, so services are usually not covered by extended healthcare plans. If you are unsure, please contact your insurance provider directly.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit may include a short discussion about your needs, goals, and any areas of concern. This helps tailor the treatment to you and ensures you feel comfortable throughout the session.

Which treatment should I choose if I am new to Thai Massage?

If you are new to Thai Massage, a 60- or 90-minute Thai Yoga Massage is often a good place to begin. If you are unsure which treatment is right for you, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Why was my treatment shorter than the booked time?

Your booked appointment time may also include time for consultation, feedback, home-care suggestions, and billing.
